Boy Using Ration Stamps – WWII

Food commodities were frequently scarce during WWII. To limit homeland supplies and hording demands by customers, the U.S. Federal Government put most food stuffs on a ration basis. The young man in this photo is shown using ration stamps to buy a can of V-8 juice.
